Peru- what a beautiful place and eternally more beautiful people. I was lucky enough to accompany the team at Threads of Hope on their annual trip to mountains of Peru where they check in on the artisans and love on their families. The mission at Threads of Hope isto empower economically disadvantaged women to break the cycle of poverty by selling their unique textiles, and then returning all profit through a directed grant process in the areas of housing, health, education and small business development. I was able to see the confidence and growth first hand as we went into homes that had electricity where they didn’t a year ago, walls where there were none a year ago, and a son being put through law school where he would have been uneducated otherwise. Thanks to non-profits like this one, the world is a little brighter and there is definitely more HOPE!
